EDUCATION OF BANGLADESH

DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL EDUCATION SYSTEM IN BANGLADESH

 Primary education

       The primary level of education is comprised of Five years of proper teaching   (class One to Five). Education, at this phase, usually begins at 6± years of grow old up to 11 existence. Primary education is commonly imparted in primary school.





 Secondary education

the 2nd stage of education is comprised of 3 years of official schooling. The first 3 years (Class Six to Eight) is referred to as junior secondary. Class eight when students are to appear at the public examination called J.S.C. (Junior School Certificate). (Class Nine to Ten) is called higher secondary.


 the 3rd  stage next tow years (Class Nine to Ten) is secondary while the last tow years (Class Nine to Ten) when students are to appear at the public examination called S.S.C. (Secondary School Certificate) is called higher secondary.

The educational programmed terminates at the finish of class Ten when students are to come into view at the public examination called S.S.C. (Secondary School Certificate). The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Educations (BISE) perform the S.S.C. examination. There are seven such Boards at different places in Bangladesh that is: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Jessore, Comilla, Chittagong, Sylhet, and Barisal.


The secondary education is calculated to set up the students to enter into the higher secondary step. In higher secondary step, the course is of two-year duration (Nine to Ten) which is being offered by intermediary Colleges or by intermediate sector of degree or master’s colleges.


 Tertiary Education

 College


The 4th stage of education is comprise of 2-6 years of ceremonial training. The smallest must for admission to higher education is the higher secondary certificate (H.S.C). HSC holders are skilled to register in three year degree pass course though for honors, they may register in Four years bachelors' degree honors course in degree level college or in the universities. Gone winner finishing point of a pass/honors bachelors' degree course, single can register in the master's degree course. Master degree courses are of one year for honors bachelor degree holder and 2 years for pass bachelor degree holders. For person’s wannabe to take up M.Phil and Ph.D course in special disciplines or area of occupation, the duration is of 2 years for M.Phil and 3-4 years for Ph.Ds after conclusion of master's degree. Higher education is being on hand in the university and post HSC level colleges and institute of diversified study in expert, technical, technological and other special types of education.

ii) University

There are 73 universities in Bangladesh. Out of these, 21 universities are in the public subdivision, while the other 52 are in the personal sector. Out of 21 public sectors University, 19 universities supply ordinary classroom lessons amenities and services. Bangladesh Open University (BOU) conducts non-campus reserve education programmers mainly in the ground of educator education and offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed) degrees. BOU conduct 18 official courses and 19 non-formal courses. Bangladesh National University generally functions as an affiliating university for degree and post-graduate degree level education at diverse colleges and institution in different field of study. Although lest of fine art this university as well offers Pre-Degree BFA itinerary (which is equivalent to HSC).After winning conclusion of the particular courses, it conduct final examinations and award degree, diplomas and certificate to the successful candidate. The degrees are B.A., B.S.S., B.Sc., and B.Com.  (Pass & Honors) BFA(Pass),  M.A., M.Sc., M.S.S, M.Com. And MFA. Furthermore, this university also offers LL.B., and other degrees. Bangladesh National University offer part-time teaching to university teacher.

There is just one medicinal university namely, "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University", resembling other community universities, offers courses on a singular system where FCPS Degree is obtainable in the discipline of medicinal education; diploma courses are on hand in 12 disciplines. MD degree in 15 subjects and MS course on 8 subjects in addition exist.
